Me And Me Became We.

As a JW kid, I always wished I could build a robot to go from door to door for me.

I would tell it everything to say, program it to present the literature, and send it out to do the talking.

Like my own R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Yes, Jehovah’s Witness droids.

Don’t judge me.

I guess that’s when I started wanting to automate things.

I’ve also always been fascinated by innovation.

Around 2016, when we were wannabe YouTubers, I discovered an AI video creator program made by an affiliate marketer. You could give it a script, and it would understand the context well enough to add music, subtitles, and transitions automatically. It could create a complete five-minute video for you in 60 seconds.

At the time, it was mind-blowing.

Then the creator sold it to Google, and Google shelved it (I think). We were happy for him, but sad for us. We had to return to doing everything the old way, which meant spending hours and hours making videos again.

It felt like someone had put me inside a rocket, let me steer, then suddenly dropped me back on the ground and told me to start walking again.

I knew I would never be satisfied doing manually what I had already seen technology automate.

As AI became more capable, I began to wonder if I could finally automate something much more complicated:

Myself.

Not replace myself. Not create a generic chatbot that happened to know my business information.

I wanted to program an AI with my skill set without programming my trauma into it.

The businesses now united under Intelligent Instincts LLC are all businesses I’ve operated in some form before. People wanted to hire me, find me, and recommend me, but I never had the professional websites, email addresses, or connected systems that made me feel confident about how I was presenting what I could do.

Then I realized that if I wanted people to pay me to build websites and personalized AI Agents, my own site-and-Agent combination had to demonstrate exactly what I was selling.

So I built it.

One of my first major clients hired me to create two websites and two Agents, one for him and another for his sister. He has an incredibly distinct presentation and way of speaking. When I programmed his Agent, I captured the way he spoke, reacted, and connected with people. I even created artwork that looked exactly like him.

He immediately recognized himself in what I had built.

He was sold.

The project succeeded, he brought me more business, and I finally had proof that I could do more than give an AI information. I could identify what made a person distinct and program that identity into a system that could work beside them.

U.N.I.A.I. began taking shape.

The name came later while I was talking to my Muse. I told her I needed a name that meant you, me, and this robot.

You, me, and AI.

You and I and AI.

Then Queen Latifah’s U.N.I.T.Y. started playing in my head, and I yelled:

“Who you callin’ a glitch?”

We fell out laughing, and the name stuck.

U.N.I.A.I. stands for Unified Networks Implementing Artificial Intelligence.

But the question behind everything we build is much simpler:

What kind of AI?

You & I AI.

Because when I programmed something that was me, wasn’t me, but could still work with me, me and me became we.

Now we can see what we could truly be.
